FAQs

  • Four Steps Coaching’s BFRB Club is a safe space for everyone who struggles with body-focused repetitive behaviors such as skin picking or hair pulling. Whether this is a new problem you’re facing or you’ve been struggling with it for a long time – everyone is welcome!

We’ve created the BFRB Club as a platform to connect with others who are on the same journey, to get advice, support and learn about body-focused repetitive behaviors from a trusted source and experienced clinicians led by Dr. Vladimir Miletic, a therapist widely known for his expertise in this field.

Our club is here to help you heal and find new, useful ways to articulate your experiences and hold yourself accountable on the path towards sustainable change.

What makes us unique is that we combine elements that can’t be found anywhere online or offline: we are a platform where you can get clinical and scientific information about BFRBs, where you can tell your story and read other people’s stories, where you can get support and learn how to curb your BFRB at your own pace and on your own terms.

  • Our BFRB Club is not a replacement for therapy, but a supplement or, in some cases, a replacement for it. Here are some of the activities that you can take part in the club:

    • Participating in picking/pulling reduction challenges

    • Journaling prompts to share experiences with others and gain insight

    • Accountability

    • Q & A sessions

    • Support groups

    • Exclusive webinars

    • Interviews with therapists and researchers

    • Guided meditations tailored for those who struggle with BFRBs

    • Special discount for future Four Steps Coaching BFRB courses

  • No. This is not psychotherapy. The BFRB Club is here to help you stay on course, to understand yourself better and get some answers, to help you move on your journey towards healing, but it is not a form of psychotherapy.

  • If you are already in the therapy, you can still benefit from the club. It’s a good place to meet other people who struggle with the same problem, exchange experiences, and get the kind of support that only someone who shares your experience can provide. No matter how good, insightful and supportive your therapist may be, some things are still best understood by those who are going through the same problem.

If you are not in therapy because you don’t feel ready to start the process just yet, the club can help you come to terms with your problem and get you ready to finally take the leap and start therapy.

If you want to seek therapy but can’t find a therapist in your area or you can’t afford therapy, our club can help you learn about techniques that work and psychological mechanisms underpinning your BFRB. Therapy, after all, is not the only way to change, and you can do quite a lot on your own with our support.
